The flow of the writing for most of the book is enjoyable, but the storyline goes completely flat at the end. The facts just don't add up. So for a murder mystery I cannot recommend this book. The judge is a believable character, however, the other character development is seriously lacking. Characters drop in and out and the reader does not really get to understand their purpose in the plot. There were too many plots and subplots. Actually, I never did understand the reasoning for the original murders. And the conclusion was abrupt and not believable.
